Updating credit card details

Hi there,
I have a new credit card and every time I try to update the details I am told that the procedure has failed and I need to check my billing information. I have already used this card for online purchases and have had it for months now so I don’t see what the problem is. I have tried three times on different dates to do this in case there was a glitch in the system at one time or another.
I’m at a loss here, please advise.

Hi Kyly,
Can you please contact your credit card company to find out if they are blocking transactions from WordPress.com? That can happen even if the card is working for other purchases, and it would prevent you from updating your details here.

I phoned my credit card company and according to them there are no restrictions on my credit card preventing me from using it for WordPress.
Do you have any more suggestions?

Hm, sorry that’s still giving you trouble! I don’t see any error messages on our end that would explain why that’s not working for you, as long as you’re using the correct billing information for the new credit card. Could you copy and paste the exact error message you’re getting? That might help me track down what’s going wrong.

This is the error I get if I click the link in my email and try pay – “Problem authorizing card. Please check your billing information and try again.”
This is the error I get if I go straight to “My Upgrades” and try do it there – “Your transaction was declined. Please try another card” -
I just tried to pay via PayPal rather and it worked, even though it uses the same credit card details. I will just do that from now on. Thanks for trying to help :)
