Updating current version of WP

  I have an early version of WP. How do I update it to the latest version.
  The appears to be no option in the Dashboard for this.

  We run the most current version of WordPress on WordPress.com, so you can rest assured you do not need to update the site at thesecretstolife.wordpress.com.

  If you are referring to a site hosted elsewhere, you should be able update your WordPress version through the link in your Dashboard or download a new copy of WordPress from WordPress.org and install it manually.

  The reason for asking is that I want to upload audio files but that doesn’t appear to be an option.
  Is this correct?

  To upload audio files, you will need the space upgrade:

  Get More Storage Space
