Updating DNS

  I bought the domain name aarondaviddesigns.com on wordpress.com on Aug. 24. I want to to have a wordpress.org site so I got hosting on bluehost.com today. I went in my DNS settings and changed it to NS1.BLUE HOST.COM and NS2.BLUEHOST.COM for this domain name around 2 o’clock this afternoon and now it’s 10:50 and it still does not link to my Bluehost server. I am in Georgia. How long does it normally take for this to get updated?

  It can take up to 72 hours. Typically it’ll take a day or so. I see it redirecting to a parked page.

  It is a page your host sets up so you don’t get a site not found – some parking pages say “under construction”

  Your http://aarondaviddesigns.com/ loads fine for me – now install WordPress.ORG and move your content and away you go – don’t forget to domain forward from your WordPress.COM site to your new site – if you have subscribers you can install JetPack and have the staff here transfer your subscribers so you won’t loose track of them
