Updating DNS records: MX and CNAME unsuccessful

  Hi I am updating my website’s DNS records to add email through Office 365. I am trying to add MX and CNAME but get the message “This record can not be added as it conflicts with an existing wordpress.com record” Any ideas what I need to do? Thanks

  Are you follow this guide? http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-email-through-office-365/

  If so, what are the records you’re trying to add?

  Hi, yes I followed this guide. But I had to delete some existing records first, and then I was able to implement your instructions.
  So now it’s working fine.
