UPDATING EMAIL

  I am finding it impossible to update my email address in the WordPress settings. It tells me that my existing email address is in use by someone else! It definitely is not as my email address is unique to me. I have followed instructions for updating but without success. It is over 30 days since I tried to update but it will still only accept my old address which is defunct. This means I am not receiving any notifications from my site which is most frustrating. Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks.

  Your existing email address isn’t in use by someone else, it means you have another wordpress.com using that email address.

  Thanks. I deleted the other sites using that email address but I find that I still am unable to update my email.
