Updating email address

  How can I go about changing the email address in Settings>General>Email address?

  I’ve tried several times to change it, typed in the new address and clicked ‘Save’, but it reverts back to the old address and I’ve not received any email from WP to verify a new address.

  Been there. Here’s what I did:

  Tried again the next day — didn’t work.
  Tried again with another email address — it worked.
