Updating error

    For the past couple months when I go into a post or a page to update it, any words in italics or hyperlinked disappear, leaving blank spaces where they were. I have to either re-write the missing words or select an earlier version of the post or page in order to correct this. I am using .com and have never ‘clicked’ to select the updated ‘create new posts’ that WordPress has offered. How do I stop the problem happening?
