updating failed

  When trying to create a new post I keep getting “Updating failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.” I can’t find the classic editor, I found it last week but now it’s gone. This is the third time I’ve had a lot of trouble putting up a new post, I’m getting very frustrated. Can someone please help me?

  Hi there,

  Please try the following:

  1) Log out of WordPress.com (if you have an unsaved draft, copy that to Notepad first as a backup)
  2) Delete all WordPress.com cookies in your browser
  3) Log back in.

  If that doesn’t work, please check if it works when you disable all browser add-ons, use a different browser, or use incognito mode.

  If none of that works, please let us know your browser and operating system, including version numbers.

  Also let us know whether you’re using the editor at My Sites ->Posts, or the one in WP-Admin.

  Thank you – good list for future reference (using My Sites – posts worked at this point
