"Updating failed" – cannot add/edit posts or pages

    I set up a new site a couple of days ago and added some new pages, some test articles and everything was going well.
    But today I cannot add or edit any posts or pages.
    I get a red bar across the top which says ‘updating failed’.

    I don’t have any active plugins, and its a new install of WP, version 5.0.2

    I’ve not changed anything so I can’t understand why it was working for a few days and now I can’t add anything or even edit the pages I already had.
    Anyone know what’s going wrong and how to fix it?

    Your site MotorhomeEurope.com is using the self-hosted version of WordPress, and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

    These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only :)

    To troubleshoot WordPress errors, you require to enable WordPress Debug, which can be done using wp-config.php.
    You need to copy and paste the code in wp-config.php file shown below.
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
