Updating failed issue

  I have this problem when working on my blog from my laptop. Every time I try to edit an old blog post, the messages flashes on to ‘You are not allowed to update’ or ‘Updating failed’. This is a fairly recent issue but I’m having a hell of a time navigating my blog. I looked up online and it said something about ‘Site health’ from Tools in my dashboard. But I don’t see that in the Tools menu. Please help!!!

  What browser are you using?

  First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

  If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser and let us know if the issue persist.

  If it is, please do these two things:

  1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

  2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

  Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

  Hi,

  Many thanks for your suggestion. Clearing the cache and cookies and disabling plugins seem to had some effect. I tried updating an old post yesterday and it worked fine. Hope this issue doesn’t turn back.
