Updating failed on my blog

    I am working on writing my post online at https://wordpress.com/post/faithtopics.wordpress.com but got error message of ‘updating failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.’ Can you give me instructions on how to resolve this problem please? I will appreciate it.

    Hi there – that can occasionally happen for a couple of reasons. First, if you have a slightly unstable or intermittent Internet connection. Second, if you had been logged into your site for a long time – long enough to where maybe your computer had gone to sleep/hibernated and you returned to continue working on your site hours later.

    The best way to try to fix this is to do the following:

    1. Clear your web browser’s cache and cookies following this guide.
    2. Close all WordPress.com tabs/windows and restart your web browser.
    3. Open a new tab to return to editing your site and see if the problem is resolved.

    Give these steps a try and let us know if this doesn’t help you get beyond this issue.
