Hi,
I have noticed, recently that I get this message when I want to save my post or update an existing one.
‘Updating failed. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this post.’
I know I can switch to the Classical Editor but I don’t want to.
Could you let me know what to do, so I can update my old posts and save the draft without getting that annoying message?
Thank in advance
Mike

Hello
I see your site is hosted by a third-party registrar, You are in the wrong forum you should ask the above query in the WordPress.org forum. Please visit this link here http://wordpress.org/support to post to those forums and generate a ticket.
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org you can read this document:
PS: To check if the issue is theme/plugin related please switch to the default twenty-seventeen or Twentynineteen theme and retest the issue.
Step to switch:
-install and activate twenty-seventeen or Twentynineteen theme
– check if the issue still persists.Regards:

Hi @michalbahno
In addition to the forum links @amirudra789 has shared here, one thing I can add is that usually when an issue like this occurs, it can be traced to an expired (or broken) login auth cookie stored on your local web browser. So with this in mind I you may want to try the following before visiting the WordPress.org forums for help:
– clear your cache and cookies based on the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
– Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well.If you continue to have loading issues after completing those steps, you can ask the folks here to take a closer look and they should be able to help further. Thanks!

Hello there,
Have you managed to see if the problem persists via a different internet connection?
For example, tethering off of a mobile device?
Many thanks.

Yes, I had tried that before and double-checked it a few minutes ago.
Still the same message.

Hi Mike:
Thanks for that additional information. Like we stated earlier, we can only help with sites hosted here at WordPress.com, so we’re kinda at the end of our abilities to help here.
Since your site is hosted elsewhere, we have no ability to access or affect your site permissions, so you would need to reach out to the WordPress community for guidance:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshootingYou could also reach out to your host for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and might be able to help you with this as well.
