Updating from PC doesn’t work, but ipad does?

  My site, http://www.rentinmn.com will not update from PC in wordpress, but it will update from ipad. I’ve searched but can’t seem to find the difference. Any ideas?

  I’ve also noticed that the Update button is red on the PC vs. ipad being blue….

  Hi there!

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  The good news is that because you use the open-source variant of the WordPress platform (which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com), help is available at the community forums here:

  The folks in the open-source forum are more familiar with these issues and are in the best position to help.
