Updating my self hosted blog to 3.3.2, fatal error?

  I currently am using wordpress 3.1.3., but it keeps asking me to update, however, I get a fatal error every time i try to automatically update via my wordpress dashboard. I’m a total novis at all of this, and don’t know how else to do it. Help!
