Updating My Website Theme and Functionality

    I just upgraded to the commerce plan so I can do some updates on my website. I’m wanting to switch to a different theme that is darker and more fitting to my brand, an also build out a storefront and LMS platform for creating classes and a members community.

    I changed the theme yesterday and it went terrible. I have not worked on themes or site building in several years and everything is so different. Where do I begin? Is there a way to do this quickly, easily, and smoothly? Do I need to break down and hire someone? Is the WordPress.com website design team worth it or should I hire someone independent? I would like to do it myself if possible so I can avoid the additional cost and so I know the website in the case something goes wrong in the future, but I also don’t want to spend nine months building this out either.
