Updating My WordPress!

Okay, I’ll give a brief overview of the situation and then I will post the question.
My pastor had a wordpress.com created for him about 2 years ago. The creator of the wordpress is absent, not returning phone calls etc etc. Now we’ve paid for the ad removal, and the .com domain name already, for the past two years. My question is, and I’m fairly new to WordPress, I have access to this admin account, BUT, I am not able to update it.
It says please contact your site administrator even though I am logged into an admin account..
The only other thing I just noticed is that the login is not the official wordpress login and looks like a redirect.
Any help would be so appreciated!

For starters we need the URL beginning with http of the site you need help with to give you accurate help

That is NOT a WordPress.com hosted blog that you are referring to. I’m sorry but we are unable to provide support for any sites that are not hosted here at WordPress.COM and our support docs do not apply to your site.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.
