Updating old posts- updating pics- the new ones post as duplicates

I am updating old posts- specifically updating pics- i deleted all the old ones in a post and added the new ones and the featured image posts in duplicates. The duplicate featured image shows up either next to or below the pic. How do I remove the extra pic??

For future reference, there will be a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but the theme needs to be active and you need to be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it.
