Updating page without going live

  Hello. This blog was set up a long time ago and therefore has people subscribed. I would like to be able to make some changes and updates without people getting a notification. How can I ‘turn the page off’, so to speak? Thank you. Wendy

  Editing a post or page that has already been published will not generate any notifications. New posts will, however, generate notifications. A work-around this is to make your blog private, put up some new posts while it’s private, and then make it public again when you’re ready.

  To do that go Dashboard –> Settings and click on Reading.
  Scroll down and look for Site Visibility.
  Select: I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose.
  Don’t forget to scroll down and click Save Changes.
