Updating Pages

I’m new to WordPress and have been working on updating the pages on our website. We had an issue with our website and had to restore it from a backup. A lot of our pages are now listed as drafts. I click on ‘Edit’ for the page I want to update, make the changes I want to make, and then click on ‘Update’. The pages in my WordPress dashboard have saved the changes I made to the pages but the changes aren’t made on our actual website. I’m not sure if it’s because some of the pages are still listed as drafts (if so, how do I change the status from ‘draft’), or if because I’m missing some other step. Any assistance provided is greatly appreciated.

    https://abcd6718.wordpress.com/ is an empty site.

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the wordpress.COM hosted site you refer to please?

This is wordpress.COM support. I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
    (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
    (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.

The actual site in question is http://www.lcctc.edu. I called a support number I found for WordPress the other day because I’m new to my institution and they told me the best way to get a log-in created so that I can use the forum help was to create a free site. Whether or not that was accurate, I don’t know. But since there isn’t another support number I could find, and because I couldn’t use the forum help without a log-in, I went with it.
