updating photo side bar on ideal and intent

Hi,
I recently moved blog themes from Auto focus to Ideal and Intent. The photos on the photos side bar, the one in the middle have been static since I switched it and won’t update to the recent posts that I have done. According to the theme, the images side bar updates to your ten most recent posts and their attached images, but mine have been stuck from a few posts back. How do I change that?

Thanks for letting us know about this issue with your sidebar.
Are you using the classic version of the editor, or the new editor?
Was there a change in editor around the time your sidebar stopped updating?
I experimented with the first missing posts (Animals and Stripes & Cute Girl’s Dress). The solution was adjusting the first image the a larger size. Once I did that and saved the change, those thumbnails did appear in the sidebar.
You may want to try that with subsequent posts. Open the post. Click on the first image. Click the little pencil button to edit the image. Under Display Settings, choose the Large display. Save the change, and update the post.
See if that fixes the issue for you.

Thank you so much for your reply. I can see that the two posts have been updated. I’ve done just that with the other following posts, changing all the first images to large size, but they still wont update on the side bar.
When I switched the blog theme, the editor changed as well so I was using the New editor and not the classic editor that I had been using before. Could this have affected it?

I’ve adjusted your posts accordingly, so they should now appear properly in the photo sidebar.
However, going forward, I want to make sure this issue resolves itself so you don’t have any trouble.
I’d like you to do an experiment for me:
The next time you publish a post, please use the classic version of the editor:

Let’s see if this resolves the conflict.
Let me know if you see a difference in the way your thumbnails show up when you use the classic/new editor.
