Updating profile info on old comments

    Hello everyone!

    After changing name and URL of my current WordPress-site, I realized that old comments were not being updated. I think it would be a good idea if old comments would be updated as soon as the Gravatar/URL info has changed.

    Hi there,

    The change in username &/or display name is not retroactive, so your previous comments will not be updated when changing those.

    Once a comment is submitted, only the owner of the site can delete or edit the comment (https://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/). So for your comments in your blog, you can change the username, though you only will be able to do it one by one.
