Updating site to WordPress 4.7.1

  I received an email that my site needed updating, and when I follow the link and try to log in, I’m told the email address isn’t found in the system. This is the SAME email address the notification email was sent to, AND I’m logged into the backend of my site with the same email address. What in the world is going on?

  Sorry but you are in the wrong place. These forums are only for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forums.
  http://wordpress.org/support/

  If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you’ll need to register one there.

  I’m getting the same error when I try to log into wordpress.org, and I already have all of that set up.
