Updating the site icon

Hello, I’ve just taken over as admin for our small choir website and the previous wordpress site I’ve edited was a premium site with quite a few plug ins. But there are some basics I would have thought ought to exist on the free version. I’ve checked the video on adding / updating a site icon and the option in customise site identity does not seem to exist on my website. I only have the option of changing site title and tag line. There’s no favicon/site icon button to add or edit.
I also have an issue where the cookie pop up message appears on every single page and I can’t find how this has been added to be able to edit it so that it only appears once per user per session rather than on every click to a new page.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  • Hi,

These instructions are likely what you are looking for: https://wordpress.com/support/site-icons/

When I view your site as a logged out viewer, I get the cookies banner. Then after I click it to accept, I don’t see it on any other pages. Are you saying that even though you accept the banner, it never goes away?
