Updating to Version 5.5

  Hi. I am receiving this message when I try to update to Version 5.5:
  You cannot update because WordPress 5.5 requires PHP version 5.6.20 or higher. You are running version 5.4.45.

  Can you let me know how to resolve this?

  Hi there!

  You will need to upgrade your PHP version.
  On WordPress.com there’s no need for that as we take care of all the updates in the backend. Since your site is not hosted here, we can’t help.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
