Updating WordPress

Hi there, i’m having some trouble installing the latest wordpress update and I just can’t seem to get it to work. I have tried disabling plugins and themes and even looked in the .ftp file that updates are stored in to find out if there is anything there stopping it and I cannot find anything. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

You’ve not left us the address of your site but, from what you’re saying I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with another company.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
