  How do I update my WordPress DNS?

  Are you asking about purchasing a domain?

  In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

  Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

  I already have a domain
  If you would like to use your domain name purchased elsewhere and map from your free hosted wordpress.com blog to it, then you will first need to set up domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet.   When I signed up for WordPress in April, I purchased the premium package that came with a domain. So now I’m trying to switch from Serves4.wordpress.com to Serves4.com but it’s telling me on My Upgrades that the DNS needs to be updated.

  Never mind, I just read down into your second post, I’ll wait the 24-72 hours. Did not realize that.
