Updating WordPress Themes

    Hello all,

    Hopefully this will be easy. I have a WP site but I want to change the look and functionality of it to a new theme with some new add ons. The problem is that I don’t want to disrupt my site because I get around 200-300 visitors a day.

    How do I work with / test a new theme on my server without taking down my current site?

    Staff do all theme updates here at WordPress>COM. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and you are posting to the wrong support forum. WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
