Updraft backup failing with FTP

  Our backups through the Updraft plugin are failing when FTP is enabled. Initially the backup was failing through BlueHost and FTP, but now just through FTP. We reached out to BlueHost and were told that everything is working properly on their end. Can you please tell me why this might be happening?

  We can’t help as that site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. You could start by contacting support of the Backup Updraft plugin.

  This issue is usually caused by incorrect FTP paths, passive mode being disabled, or permission conflicts when Updraft switches to FTP-based file access. I recommend checking the FTP root path, enabling passive mode, and ensuring wp-content/updraft has proper write permissions.
