  Hello! I started at wordpress.com then upgraded to wordpress.org Now I would like to transfer my website so it is fully hosted at dreamhost. Currently it is registered through Wild West Domains and dreamhost won’t transfer the hosting without an authorization code. I contacted Wild West Domains, and they referred me back to support at wordpress. How do I get the authorization code to transfer hosting?

  Hello,
  Your domain has private registration, which needs to be disabled before you can issue the trasfer code. Make sure you’re logged into the account that you used to register the domain. Then go from your dashboard to Store > My Upgrades. Click “Cancel Private Registration” under Domain Upgrade.

  Hi there,

  To use your domain with Dreamhost, please follow our guide to Move Your Domain to Another Host. Note that you won’t be able to transfer the domain’s registration until 60 days after you registered the domain, but you can point your domain to Dreamhost to start using it there now.
