upgrade

I checked yesterday on how much it would cost to upgrade my site to a PERSONAL plan, at £3 a month if paid annually. Today I log in to make the payment and now it’s saying £4 a month.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It is always possible that you decided to upgrade on the day they raised the prices (which have remained the same for a number of years). Everything seems to be increasing in price these days, In my dashboard I see £6 per month or still £36 per year (or better still £60 for 2 years) however this thread is tagged to ask a member of staff if there is a roll out of price increases imminent.

The price for the Personal plan has been £4 a month, billed annually (or £48 for the year) for a very long time.

Did you see a promotion or receive an email with a coupon code that indicated a “£3 a month, billed annually” price? If so, could you take a screenshot of that so we can take a closer look?

If you’re not familiar on how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:

Then, upload it to your site’s Media Library and Staff will take a closer look. Thanks!

I have uploaded a screenshot as directed, taken just now, it still says £3 per month.
An additional question. My reason for upgrading from the FREE plan to PERSONAL was to get rid of the annoying ads. However when I did this all that happened was I got a new site free of ads, while the original remains the same, full of ads. Is it actually possible to upgrade an existing site? If it is, how?

  • That’s very odd, I’ll need to pass that along to see what happened.

Meanwhile, which site did you want to have the plan? We can take care of moving that for you.
