I was considering upgrading to Premium plan which already has no ads as part of it. Will I get a credit for unused portion of year I paid for in advance?
Also, would I need to continue with the domain registration or is that included? -
Staff will make the required billing adjustment when you upgrade. I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help. I had an online chat yesterday about a refund for this upgrade and was told it was processed. I have had no email or further communication. Can someone look into this promised return? I am now on WordPress.org. Here’s copy of yesterday’s chat

Hari S here, you’ll see an option to cancel your premium plan.
Hari S Once you click ‘Cancel’, you’ll be eligble for the refund as well. :)

Dawn yes, so I clicked transfer…then the cancel option went away

Hari S Right now – you own the domain dawnengler.com, which is registered with WordPress.
Hari S If you would like to use dawnengler.com with a WordPress.org site (hosted on a third party service), there are a couple of ways to do that.

Hari S This is because when you cancel your domain with WordPress.com, it could go for auction and you may not be able to gain control over it.

I can confirm that your refund has been issued. It can take up to a week for it to appear in your account, but please let us know if you don’t receive it.
You should also be able to see the receipt for the email from your billing history page, here: https://wordpress.com/me/billing
