    Good Morning,
    In the eventuality of upgrading my Blog ‘dropsofeverything.wordpress.com’, I have a few questions, thanks to let me know the answers…
    1/ if I change domain name into ‘dropsofeverything.com’ will the new name of my blog be in first position when eventual followers or readers will type the new name. For the time being the actual name upon typing appears first?
    2/ if I upgrade, apart from choosing the version I wish, what should I have to do to move my blog to the next level? do I have to download something or anything else? Am I involved in the migration, or it’s automatically done by WordPress?
    3/ I seem to understand that upon upgrading my blog will look exactly the same as it is now, am I correct?
    4/ How long does it take to move from the basic version to an upgraded one?
    5/ Upon upgrading will my bog stay at WordPress.com or move to WordPress.org?

    Hi Louise!

    Your custom domain, dropsofeverything.com will be linked to dropsofeverything.wordpress.com. When a visitor types dropsofeverything.wordpress.com into their browser it is going to redirect to your custom domain, that is what your visitors will see.

    Everything will be taken care of. You will not need to do anything else after you upgrade your plan. Our plans are available for side-by-side comparison at wordpress.com/pricing/.

    Yes. The upgrade is not going to affect the appearance of your blog unless you decide to change themes, or edit CSS.

    4/ How long does it take to move from the basic version to an upgraded one?

    Just a few minutes. Your account will be upgraded once you complete the payment.

    5/ Upon upgrading will my bog stay at WordPress.com or move to WordPress.org?

    Upgrading your WordPress.com plan keeps your blog with WordPress.com. Transitioning to the self hosted version of WordPress is a different process.

    Hi Liz, thank you so much for your prompt answer… kind of you to have replied to all my questions :)

    I have one more (for the time being, as days pass may be other questions will arise).

    If I upgrade to Premium, is there a possibility of having a widget on the side bar to enable translation. I usually write my posts in English and French, but just in case one of my followers or readers need a translation in another language… If you could give me a hint how to install that option on my blog, I would be grateful.
