  Can I start a domain with a .wordpress and upgrade to a .com domain?

  Looks like it’s definitely possible. I’ll be doing the same.

  If you click “My Site” in the top left, underneath it you should see an “upgrade button.”

  From there you can purchase a domain and use it instead.
