I want to be able to easily accept payments on both of my sites…Oily Words and Loving with Purpose. I see the plans offered but no examples of what the payment option looks like. Also, on the $8/mo it says accept payments using PayPal button. Is this any different than going to PayPal and making your own buttons…any simpler than their site?
The site I need help with is oilyworksbykim.wordpress.com.

There are a few different options to accept payments on WordPress.com sites.
With the PayPal option you mentioned, you will just need to connect your PayPal account, and you’ll be able to add Pay with PayPal blocks to any post/page you’d like to offer your items to sell. Here’s more about that:

If you’d prefer to give your visitors an option to pay with a credit/debit card, you could try the Payments Block. It lets you take one-time or recurrent payments and is available on any of our paid plans:

The last option is what we recommend for full online stores. It would be using an e-commerce plugin, like WooCommerce. For that, you would need plan Business or eCommerce:
