  Can I add audio files to my blog on the ‘free’ version? If not, then if I upgrade from the ‘free’ version to the ‘personal’ version at £3 per month, does that allow me to put audio files on my blog?

  Not for free but yes with a Personal plan. You would have up to 6GB storage.
