  have a free wordpress website but want to upgrade some features, But I don’y know ether to upgrade to premium or business account.
  Also would like to try features to see if they meet my need, before I pay out and upgrade, is this possible.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

But, remember, none of it is permanent. You can upgrade or downgrade at any point and it’s refundable for 30 days after purchase.

  We have a club calendar but would like to add functionality and have it better integrate with our WordPress website

  things to keep : 
  1-All public can view but only members register with calendar so that they can add events.
  2-Members able to RSVP to any event by click of button
  3-One or more events can be added for each day.
  4-Members can add comments to each event.
  5-Numbers for each event can be set as open or limit RSVP number.
  6-Administrator ability to edit / cancel events.

  things to be changed or added:
  1-View to start on Monday end on Sunday so weekend not split.
  2-RSVP option of ‘add me’ or ‘remove me’. RSVP option of ‘maybe ‘ to be removed.
  3-Events colour coded by type
  4-Events filterable by type
  5-Calendar view to be in traditional format or list format
  eg.https://www.bmbo.org.uk/calendar/
  6- Facility for member to opt to be informed when a new event of an indicated type is added.

  Need advice on which wordpress compatible calendar would be best product that match our need and compatible with our wordpress website. AND what level of Account would need to subscribe to,

  There are a few plugins out there for what you’re describing, both free and paid. https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/ is one of the most popular.
