Upgrade and audio problems

    Good Morning
    Suddenly I cannot seem to upload audio as a blue underlined link, it just uploads as a play button…which means people who have a password to my site cannot download the audio.
    I have 9 GB of audio links on my site…I thought maybe it was because I was getting low on gigs, but I cannot purchase another 10gb
    I can only purchase another 25 gb? that seems a bit strange.
    I need to start uploading more audio as I use my MAGNIFICENT wordpress site for my choirs who listen and download my tracks…HHHHHEEELLLPPP!

    Hi there,

    No, the issue isn’t actually with you running out of space, what is going on is an upgrade which was done recently bringing our WordPress closer to the core WordPress.org (adding a lot of functionality which was missing, including the automatic inserting of the Audio player).

    Not to worry though! In order to make your links downloadable, all you need to do is upload your audio files to your Media Library in advance and then grab the URL for it. Then when you’re composing your blog entry, you can create a link to it by highlighting the text you’d like to link and then press the “Create Link” button (it looks like two chain links or the infinity symbol).

    In regards to the space for your blog, you’re right, if you already have purchased the 10Gb, you cannot purchase another one. Our system doesn’t allow it. But since you purchased it within the last 30 days you can still get a refund for it, so you can purchase the 25Gb version instead and cancel and refund the 10Gb one!

    Thanks so much Mr Mighty A ..That is clear and makes perfect sense!
    It feels like it is a little more time consuming, doing it this way, as I am posting about 35 tracks at a time on a page, each with a link…. so my choirs can download the audio tracks they want to practice to… and it feels like there is another step in the process now..maybe when I have done it a few times it will get quicker…
