Upgrade and migration of domain and worldpress content

    Hi All,

    ‘You can even use your own domain when you upgrade to the premium or business plan.’

    OK, but how does it look like actually, technically ? How can I migrate my domain name, registered with another host, and content developed on worldpress?

    Hi there,

    You can connect a domain registered elsewhere via the domain mapping upgrade included in each plan. We have detailed steps how to add it and point the domain here on this page:

    Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)

    To move your content from a site hosted elsewhere you need to export it from that site and import it here. The process is described in this page:

    Moving from a Self-Hosted WordPress to WordPress.com

    Please note that you should only switch your domain to us after you have completely finished importing your content here. If you switch the domain before importing your content we won’t be able to import any of your media files from the old site.
