Upgrade cancelling

    Hey, I have cancelled my domain upgrade “arnogahrmann.com” within the two days. (Costs 26$) Why doesn’t it work? WordPress first wrote in the mask: “canceling outstanding” And though I waited. But now this is gone and nothing happened. No answer from WordPress, although I gave an explanation too! And no compensation. What’s up? Thanks for help and best wishes.

  • Hi there, I don’t see any record of a cancellation request for arnogahrmann.com, but I can still cancel it for you if you’re 100% sure you no longer want it.

    If we cancel your domain, it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and we can’t guarantee that your domain will be ever available to you again once canceled.

    If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site, using the Domain Administration tool under Store > Domains, at the bottom of the page.

    If you don’t want this domain at all, please confirm here that you’d like me to go ahead and cancel it and issue a refund. This cannot be undone.

    Hi Kath, thanks for your fast reply. What I understand is, that I can’t use the domain “arnogahrmann.com” ever again, if you go ahead. No problem for me. I am sure, that I never want to use it again. Next: I want to keep my wordpress account as it is. I want to cancel the upgrade to “arnogahrmann.com” and get the 26$ refund. Did I get everything right? So: I confirm that I want you to go ahead cancel it and issue the refund of 26$. Thanks a lot and best wishes.

  • Thanks for confirming. I’ve cancelled the domain arnogahrmann.com and issued a $26 refund. It can take 1-2 weeks for the refund to be reflected on your account.

    Great! Everything is already done. Fantastic fast service – thanks a lot. But indeed, I have another question, to be honest: two more questions ;)
    First: I want to buy the “no ad upgrade”. But it doesn’t matter if I press the “buy now” oder just the “info” button – both give just the explanation what it is. It’s possible to understand what I mean?
    Second: now we quit the “arnogahrmann.com” Unfortunately it’s still in google – first match by now, what is great, but it doesn’t work anymore. Have you any idea how long it will take? My client gets a little bit nervous, if you know what I mean. Thanks for your patience and have a good one!

    It’s not possible to control when Google’s search spider will revisit the old URL and remove it from its index – it could be anywhere from a few days to a few months, but it should eventually happen.
