Upgrade Concern

I wanted to know if it is possible to restrict the “publish” button for new blog posts for contributors? I am looking to switch my current squarespace blog to wordpress so my contributors create their posts but not publish.

Similar to what I do for my Blog Critics account. I submit and an admin approves and publishes. I know there is a limited about of things I can do with a contributor but I am interested in knowing if this is possible before I make any sudden changes.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Is this safe enough?

    Contributor

A contributor can edit their posts but cannot publish them. When a contributor creates a post, it will need to be submitted to an administrator for review. Once a contributor’s post is approved by an administrator and published, however, it may no longer be edited by the contributor.

A contributor does not have the ability to upload files/images.

thanks. so if i was to upload all images, would the contributor be able to select an image to add to their post? or is there a feature thats customized to where they have permission to add photos?

A contributor does not have access to the Media Library – just tested it on my test blog and downgraded myself by logging in as the blog owner – I can make a Post but I can’t get to the Medial Library – so you would need to add the pictures for them –

    Next user role up is

    Author

An author can edit, publish and delete their posts, as well as upload files/images. Authors do not have access to modify, add, delete, or publish pages.

But they can go back an edit their own work and publish it so they can do more damage – but only to their own Posts
