Upgrade free trial to Business

    Hi,

    Yesterday I started a free trial with Premium, but I would like to use Business instead, as I need to use ecommerce on my site.

    However, I would not like to pay the $299 right away. I would like to try out the Business plan trial before purchasing. If I upgrade, will it take money from my account? It looks like it will as it says ‘Pay $299’ on the confirmation button. Is there a way to upgrade my free trial only?

    I have another question – do you HAVE to use Ecwid or Shopify to make us of ecommerce? Which means a further paid subscription is required on one of those third party companies?

    Really all I need is a WordPress.com staff member to confirm my account will remain in the free trial period after upgrading to Business. Any of you guys around???

    Hi Jordan and Kath,

    You can only have one free trial going at a time. Would you like me to end the Premium free trial so you can then start the Business free trial?

    Correct, Ecwid and Shopify are the only options for eCommerce. I believe Ecwid does have a free offering for up to 10 products. But creating an account with those services, including any pricing they require, would be part of setting up eCommerce functions.

    However, you do not have to use eCommerce while on the Business plan.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for your response – I think the ‘we are in senegal’ email is an automated response coming from our email address. Sorry about that. Kath manages the email – I’m just the website admin! I’ve switched off the email notifications now so shouldn’t happen again.

    Anyway, yes please do end the Premium plan (I also set up a separate business trial using thekoraworkshopdotcom.com by mistake – could you terminate that account too?).

    However, we’ve decided to wait for a few weeks before we begin the trial again. We need to gather some content together. Would I be able to contact you to start the trial or will I be able to do it through the WordPress admin?

    I’ve removed both your active Free Trials. Feel free to start them up again whenever you need to.
