Upgrade hangs

  I was not able to upgrade my account to a blogger or premium account ; it keeps showing ‘calculating ..’ and the secure payment button is never enabled.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I was not able to upgrade my account to a blogger or premium account

  I noticed the account you are contacting us from is an Author on pattern1sentence.wordpress.com (so there is no option to upgrade). This suggests you are trying to upgrade a different site — can you send a link to the one you are having trouble upgrading on the checkout page?

  Hello ,
  You are right , I am trying to upgrade pattern1sentence.wordpress.com , of which I am the author. Could you explain why
  you said there is no option to upgrade ?

  You need to be the owner/Admin of a site to purchase an upgraded plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  You seem to have created a few different accounts over the years. This account only gives you author privileges and is only 5 years old. The site goes back further than that. Perhaps you need to be logged in as https://en.forums.wordpress.com/users/pattern1sentence/

  Yes, as @themagicrobot,you’ll need to log into the owner’s account in order to upgrade.

  In regards to the hanging upgrade you initially wrote in about, it is indeed a bug that we are in the process of fixing so that it will no longer cause confusion for users who are trying to upgrade but are not the owner of the account.

  As I said I am the owner ,admin , author of pattern1sentence blog site ; however the hanging problem remains ;
  I ended up creating a new site and upgrading that- successfully!.
  Could you guys suggest any easy way to bring some articles from the older site to the new one without loosing the informations like date of publication etc.?

  As I said I am the owner ,admin , author of pattern1sentence blog site

  I believe you, but I can also see there are two accounts associated with this site. One account is the owner and admin, the other is palpronab, which is only an author. So you are one person, but you do have two accounts and this one is not an admin.

  Can you log out and log back in using the admin account? It won’t hang anymore after that. The bug we’re fixing in this case is that it will say you need to be logged in as an administrator, instead of just hanging.
