  i have purchased an upgrade and domain name transfer libertineimages.com
  but i’ve been assigned this:
  libertineimagesdotcom1.wordpress.com

  pLease help thanks

  The domain needs to be mapped to a WordPress.com blog URL.

  The domain will appear up front, but it needs to be mapped to an existing WordPress.com blog. Is that WordPress.com blog libertineimages.wordpress.com?

  Yes it is
  The current Domain Host (clikpic) say that ‘We only host domains attached to our own sites so you would have to transfer your domain away to WordPress’

  Does this mean that Mapping is not available?

  You should be able to simple change the name servers to direct them domain here, as detailed in http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  I have never encountered a registrar that didn’t.

  Hi – I have been told by ClikPic that:

  ‘WordPress, I think, have not got the facility to transfer domain names
  over to them and only able to provide name servers so that your domain
  points to them. We only host domains which are pointed to our own
  servers so, you would need to transfer the domain to a host who can
  help you with changing the name servers to be with WordPress. There are
  lots out there 1&1, 123-Reg, so take a look, sign up an domain account
  with them and when you have done this, let me know and I can unlock the
  domain and transfer the domain away from us.’

  Is this true? i really appreciate your help

  Hm, that’s unfortunate. Since they will not allow you to change the name servers on the domain which you own, I recommend transferring it to a different registrar.

  Unfortunately, we cannot accept incoming domain transfers, but you can transfer to any other registrar and then map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
