upgrade impact on old / existing published links

    If I upgrade my account (which allows me to use custom domain URL), will it break ALL existing published links on existing social media posts that have the existing domain path (calzico.wordpress.com). Moving from calzico.wordpress.com to calzico.com/blog or whatever. I just want to know that upgrading won’t cause everything to break that’s already published on social media channels.

    No, the links will still work. They will just forward to the new URL.

    However, one thing that will change is any share counts for a specific post or page. The social networks use URLs to calculate those and when the URL changes, the count resets.
