  Upgrade Notification

  Hey I’m new to using word press and inside my blog it says I have to update now. What in my ftp should I back up before overwriting with new files? config.php or something? Also should i make a database back up before proceeding as well

  Please if you could.

  1- provide me with the direct url for the newest release
  2- provide me with any links (ONSITE) you think I would benefit from reading before proceeding.

  i think you have a self-hosted blog, in which case you have to go to http://wordpress.org/support to place your query. this is the forum for bloggers hosted by wp.com. please correct me if i’m mistaken.
