Not as such, but you can add anyone as a user of your blog, or you can have them upload the photo elsewhere online and submit the link to it to you, using a contact form.

You can use a PayPal button on your site, and are welcome to sell your own work. If you require shopping cart functionality or e-commerce beyond that, you might want to look into a self-hosted WordPress site: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I’m not certain exactly what you mean by this. You can edit the URL that each image links to. I might need to take a look at a specific example of what you’re trying to do here, so I can understand better. :)

We have a number of themes that have a “showcase” home page similar to what you describe. Your theme, Responsive, has one, but you can only choose one post to highlight. Here are a few other examples:
