Upgrade of plan and redirect

    Hello. I have a free plan and going to upgrade to Private plan. I want to ask if all existing links to my previous xxxx.wordpress.com (for example in instagram or facebook) will redirect after upgrade to xxxx.com ? should this be additionally enabled or configured?

    Hi there,

    While adding a domain will change the URL of your site, WordPress.com will automatically redirect any visitors from your example.wordpress.com URL to your new domain URL. As you’ll be upgrading plan (I’m guessing you mean either Personal or Premium?), one free domain registration is offered for any plan you choose. Here is a link with some more information on how you can register a new domain with WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/register-domain/
