I want to upgrade my plan to a payment plan where i intend using this domain blog.thebagshop.com.ng or thebagshop.blog rather than the thebagshopdotcomdotng.wordpress.com
and if am to upgrade to the $2.99 per month is that all i would be paying

Is this just for the domain or the plan i need to understand better.
Once i upgrade will i be able to change my domain to any available ones or to thebagshop.comng.blog and still be on the $30 subscription

To connect a domain you already own you will need at least the Personal Plan. That plan is $2.99 a month, billed yearly, so you’ll pay $35.88 in total. After you buy the plan from My Site ->Plans, go to My Site ->Domains ->Add and select the Map It option to claim your free domain mapping upgrade included in the plan:
Use a Domain You Already Own (Domain Mapping)
Nigerian postal codes should have six digits. The one you indicated above only contains five. Please make sure that code is correct.

Hello All,
Please i have a subdomain not registered with wordpress.com, which i have created blog.thebagshop.com.ng at my domain control panel, will i have to just add the subdomain from Already own a domain at the wordpress and add which i would be prompted to pay.
From my end where i created the cname what will i add to map to wordpress.com.
Urgent response needed.

If you want to connect a subdomain to your site, you will still need an upgrade plan, and the domain mapping upgrade. The only difference is instead of changing the name servers at your domain provider, you’ll add a CNAME in your domain’s DNS records with them.

2. Are you saying after step 1 is done all i would just do is add this blog.thebagshop.com.ng with the wordpress.com domain under where i would see Already own a domain section then follow the information required, thats all

No, one domain mapping is included for free as part of the plan.

Exactly. Select Already own a domain, and enter the subdomain you want to use. Just make sure the CNAME for that subdomain is added to the domain’s DNS wherever you have that hosted before you add the mapping on this end.
