Upgrade plan

  I’m having a blog website with free subscription right now, and looking for an upgrade. But, before I do that, I need clarification on following things:

  1. Is there a way that I can upgrade on quarterly basis? (My current idea is that, I’ll upgrade to ‘Personal’ package now, and after sometime I’ll move onto ‘Premium’)

  2. After upgrading to some paid package, how much control will I get over the website? I mean, will I get the access to the file contents including database access?

  1. Upgrades need to be paid for annually (or for 2 years) in advance. You can upgrade plans at any time and depending on how near to expiry are usually charged a reduced fee or the difference between plan prices.
  2. No, there isn’t any access to your site’s database or source files on any plan on WordPress.com.

  Will I be able to get the backup from my existing website (whenabongcooks.wordpress.com) ? I mean the database content.

  If you upgrade your existing free site https://whenabongcooks.wordpress.com/ to the Personal plan it will give you more storage space for media, no ads and the option to use a custom domain name instead of the wordpress.com suffix but you won’t lose any of your existing content.
