Upgrade plan
-
I’d like to upgrade my site to the personal £3 per month plan but I can’t see how to do that. The cheapest option available seems to be the £7 premium plan. Why is that? My site is for a children’s sport club, all run by volunteers.

At “My sites” “plan” can you click on “Blogs and Personal sites”. Note that upgrades are charged annually in advance, not monthly.

Yes, I tried that but it just goes off to some list of other sites – it doesn’t take me to the personal plan.

Hi girtoncolts,
Today I upgraded my WordPress blog plan from Free to Personal successfully. Here are my steps describing how I ordered the upgrade:1. Select “My site”.
2. Select “WP Admin(opens in a new tab)”. As a blogger who utilizes screen-reading software, I find WP-Admin easier to use compared to the more modern WP interface.
3. On the “Dashboard” page which opens, select “Plans”.
4. Select the relevant “upgrade” button, which will take you to a “checkout” page. On this page, you are able to confirm that you selected the upgrade plan which you intended. If you inadvertently selected the wrong “upgrade” button, no worries. There is a “remove item” button on the checkout page. To complete the plan ordering process, select the relevant payment method “credit/debit card or Paypal” and follow the relevant on-screen instructions. Billing for a plan is annual not monthly.Tip: I noticed on a succeeding screen that WordPress encouraged me to upgrade to premium for additional cost after I was ordering a personal plan. Again, no worries. I found a “no thanks” button, indicating that I will stick with the free themes and personal plan is still my desired seleciton.
I hope the steps which I outlined above are helpful to you.
